We were contacted by a customer at Engadine, in the Sutherland Shire, who reported they had lukewarm water in the shower but not anywhere else in the house.
Once onsite, hot water specialist Steve, ran a series of tests to try to determine the reason why they were experiencing lukewarm hot water in the shower only. The first step was to check whether a restrictor that may be installed in the shower head was causing the problem. This wasn’t the case.
Next was to check the correct installation of the instantaneous Rinnai B26 gas hot water heater. Quickly, he found the cause of the problem… the wrong gas meter regulator had been installed. Steve remove the old regular and installed the correctly sized 2.75KPA gas meter regulator and, instantly, hot water was flowing from every tap in the house, including the shower!
The customer was grateful that their hot water problem, which had been baffling them for weeks, was fixed quickly and inexpensively.
