Hot water service installers Hurstville.
We received a concerned call from a Hurstville customer who, over time, had been running out of hot water every now and then. One day, they found they had no hot water at all and they contacted us for assistance. With family coming to stay over Christmas, there was a sense of urgency and we were happy to help.
When speaking with the customer over the phone, our hot water specialist John, asked the customer to check the hot water system for leaks. Thankfully, the hot water system seemed to be intact. The customer wasn’t sure of the age of the heater however, when the customer explained a few things to him, it was obvious it was a very old electric hot water system.
Once onsite at the Hurstville unit, John knew straight away that the existing Rheem hot water system was 20+ years old. Rheem hot water systems are Australian made and are an extremely reliable. As one of the hardest working appliances in your home, reliability is paramount and this customer had certainly got great value for money from their Rheem electric hot water service!
New Rheem hot water service installation
The hot water usage requirements of most households changes over time. So, when upgrading your hot water service, it’s paramount the right system is installed to suit the families’ needs now and into the future. This is where our hot water experts can assist.
When advising customers of the best hot water service to suit their needs, we take into consideration all household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, which can use as much hot water as one person. It’s also important to consider the changing needs of a family as small children grow into large teenagers.
This Hurstville customer regularly has friends and family come to stay so this was something to consider. Whilst their day-to-day hot water usage was minimal, when guests arrive, it jumps considerably.
Hot water service replacement upgrade
After discussing the customer’s hot water usage requirements, we determined the most energy efficient and cost effective model was to upgrade to the Rheem stainless steel 125 litre electric hot water heater (model 4A1125). This isn’t a huge hot water system so won’t be expensive to run but, when hot water increases, it will be able to handle the extra load.
We disconnected and removed the old electric hot water system and installed the new one in the same place. Whilst onsite, we installed new tempering valve and duo valve to adhere to current Australian standards (AS3500 Plumbing Code). We replaced the old flexible hoses with new copper pipes.
Generous 12 month Rheem warranty
Within a few hours, the customer was back enjoying trouble free hot water again and guests can luxuriate in long, hot showers now as new hot water system is more economical and will accommodate their changing needs.
Additionally, all Rheem electric hot water services’ come with a generous 12 year warranty offering our customer’s peace of mind and product relability.

At Cheapa Hot Water, we are licensed and qualified to undertake any plumbing and electrical work required to complete your hot water system installation or repair quickly, and within budget.
Plumbers who do not specialise in the installation of hot water heaters may need to outsource the electrical work required to another tradesperson, thereby holding up your hot water system repair or installation, adding extra expense due to additional call out fees charged by employing two tradespeople.
Don’t risk voiding your hot water service warranty
Additionally, most manufacturers won’t cover the terms of your hot water system warranty if it isn’t installed by a licensed hot water technician or qualified plumber.
