Replace old gas hot water system with new Rheem Stellar.
We were contacted by a customer living in a townhouse in North Sydney who had returned home from work to find they had no hot water.
Within an hour or so, one of our North Shore hot water specialists, Steve, was onsite to assess the problem with their gas hot water heater.
Once onsite at the North Sydney property, our hot water specialist Steve started to undertake a series of diagnostic tests. Unfortunately, the old gas hot water system was beyond economic repair. With spare parts no longer being manufactured for almost all older instantaneous hot water systems, the only option is to replace them with a new one.
To ensure we replaced the old hot water heater with a new one that suited the customer’s hot water usage requirements, Steve discussed with the customers their budget and hot water usage requirements. Based on this information, Steve recommended a new Rheem Stellar 160 litre hot water system (model number: 850360).
The new hot water system was installed in the same location which made the process quick and trouble-free.

- Attend North Sydney property to diagnose problems with old gas hot water system not producing hot water.
- Assess the site for safety and take appropriate actions.
- Inspect and test the burner assembly, thermocouple and unitrol valve.
- Carry out any further necessary testing.
- Ascertain that the old gas hot water system was beyond economical repair.
- Supply and install new Rheem Stellar gas storage hot water system (model: 850360) back in the same position.
- Installed new 15mm RMC tempering valve.
- Recommission the system.
- Clean up the site and remove any associated rubbish.
- Remove and recycle the old hot water system.
