Solar and heat pump rebates NSW. Don’t miss out on the generous government solar hot water rebates that are now available.
It was this Hornsby customer’s lucky day when their old electric Vulcan hot water heater stopped producing hot water because it meant they were able to upgrade to an energy-efficient Chromagen heat pump hot water system and take advantage of the generous solar hot water rebates NSW on offer by the Government.
We received a distressed call from this Hornsby customer, on Sydney’s North Shore, who had woken up to no hot water. We booked a service call for that morning to diagnose the problem.
Heat pump installation costs are reduced significantly.
Once onsite, our hot water specialist Steve, found that there were multiple problems with the customer’s old, electric hot water system which was 10-12 years old. Steve discussed the cost with the customer to repair the old hot water system. Steve also explained the generous Government rebates that are currently available to NSW residents for the next 12 months if they switch from electric hot water to a more environmentally friendly solar hot water system or a heat pump hot water heater. Obviously, the customer was very interested.
The customer will now save money on their hot water bills.
While we would have been able to fix the customer’s old Vulcan hot water system, due to its age, it is likely it will break beyond economical repair and require replacement in the not-too-distant future. By taking advantage of the Government rebate scheme, the customer benefited from a generous financial payment toward the replacement cost of their hot water system.
Best of all, the customer benefits immediately from reduced running costs of up to 65% on their energy bills. The customer was elated!
We completed the Chromagen heat pump installation for the Hornsby customer and, whilst onsite, switched them over to Off Peak 2.

Chromagen Heat Pumps
Chromagen heat pumps harvest free energy from the surrounding air to heat your hot water. Using this renewable resource uses up to 65% less energy to heat your hot water than conventional water heaters, thereby reducing your bills and carbon emissions.
Chromagen heat pumps use smart technology to efficiently transfer thermal energy directly from the surrounding air into the water. That means the heat pump doesn’t have to rely on direct sunlight or fossil fuels to provide the energy source. From 1kW of power input, the Chromagen heat pump creates over 4kW of output heat. That is a power efficiency of 400%!! In comparison, conventional electric hot water systems can only convert 1kW of input power into a maximum of 1kW of output heat.
DID YOU KNOW? Switching from electric or gas hot water can reduce your CO2 emissions by over 4 tonnes per year, saving up to $930 per year on your energy bills*.

Cheapa Solar Hot Water Sydney
Hot water is our business – it’s not a sideline. Each year we install and repair hundreds of hot water systems in homes and businesses across the entire Sydney area.
Don’t waste money employing multiple trades.
Did you know that a new hot water system is a big investment and often needs the installation and setup of plumbing, gas and electric components? This requires the experience and qualifications of both a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician.
At Cheapa Hot Water, we are licensed and qualified to undertake any plumbing and electrical work required to complete your hot water system installation or repair quickly, and within budget.
Plumbers who do not specialise in the installation of hot water heaters may need to outsource the electrical work required to another tradesperson, thereby holding up your hot water system repair or installation, adding extra expense due to additional call out fees charged by employing two tradespeople.
Don’t risk voiding your hot water heater warranty
Additionally, most manufacturers won’t cover the terms of your hot water system warranty if it isn’t installed by a licensed hot water technician or qualified plumber. Hot water tanks are an expensive appliance so why would you risk voiding your warranty by installing it yourself or employing the services of someone who isn’t licensed?
Save money today by calling our Sydney hot water experts. Our trucks are on the road right now stocked with thousands of spare parts to repair and service your hot water heater quickly.
