The problem
The homeowner noticed that their hot water had gradually cooled over a few days until it finally went completely cold.
Once onsite, our hot water technicians immediately started running tests to diagnose the cause of the problem so we could get the customer back to enjoying trouble-free hot water quickly. We carried out a full inspection of the electric hot water tank, thermostat, and element.

Same day electric water heater repair
After safely isolating the power supply, we were able to replace the faulty element and thermostat with new, manufacturer-approved parts.
Whilst onsite, we serviced the water heater to ensure it was running efficiently, including:
- Flushed the tank to remove sediment build-up
- Checked all electrical connections for safety
- Tested the temperature and pressure relief (TPR) valve
- Confirmed correct thermostat operation and water temperature
Within a few hours, the customer had hot water restored and the Vulcan electric water tank was performing like new.
